For the event description: RSVP for the Beers & Burgers Colloquium on Saturday, June 20 from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm, on Zoom and at the Jinqiao Big Bamboo (Hongfeng Lu), when we will tackle the question of how to build a deliberately developmental organization.  The discussion portion of the event will last from 10-11:30 and you may join that in person or via Zoom. Aftwards, everyone is invited to stay for burgers and beers.

A deliberately develomental organization (DDO) is organized around the simple but radical conviction that organizations will best prosper when they are more deeply aligned with people's strongest motive, which is to grow. This means going beyond consigning "people development" to high-potential programs, executive coaching, or once-a-year off-sites. It means fashioning an organizational culture in which support of people's development is woven into the daily fabric of working life and the company's regular operations, daily routines, and conversations.
Our speaker is globally-renowned organizational development thought-leader Andy Fleming,
CEO of the Developmental Edge.  Andy has a compelling bio:  Captain of the Yale basketball team, Harvard MBA, Director of the Ethics & Servant Leadership Institute at Emory University, and author of "An Everyone Culture: Becoming a Deliberately Developmental Organization," which the Harvard Business Review cited as a
must-read leadership book.
